Possibly, a router address will be something like 192.168.0.1 Try connecting your ps4 to wifi again & log the ip address's it should show your routers ip, or maybe connect a smartphone to your wifi and take a look at the connection data, the router itself may have an ip address on the back or underneath Ps3 wont obtain an IP address Recently I moved my ps3 to my gf's house. huh? you don't need your PS3 to obtain your IP address.. if you're talking about a wireless network, you need your router to ASSIGN an IP to your PS3.Make sure that when you are entering your network details into your PS3 that you include the right SSID, the correct Encryption (wep. etc etc) - and the correct pass code you have set. I still can't get the PS3 to obtain an IP. I can however get the PS3 to connect the the phone wirelessly (which is not preferred) so clearly there is a communication breakdown between the PC and the PS3 since the internet is working fine on the PC end. Mar 09, 2015 · Tonight when I switched it back on the PS4 could not find IP address in specified time. So I tried connecting via wifi, this worked no problem. Rebooted router and mode and ps4. Went back to try ethernet, No dice would not work at all. So I switched everything off in the house that may require an IP address including the ps 4 R1 and modem.
I have my PS3 downstairs now so my parents can watch lost without having to take the computer down there. The PS3 however can't obtain an IP address and can't find any media servers from my computer.
