Shibby runs well - both radios on the E2500 and not much difference in dd-wrt --- but for a router like the E1200v2 tomato is the better choice for wireless stability -- e1200v2 is a little different box though -- it's really a pain w/dd-wrt but newer builds seem to do ok on it. You CAN run DD-WRT. DD-WRT never overwrote the CFE. The only firmware that overwrote the CFE was Xvortex. Xvortex is a ILLEGAL Firmware. You have No access to source code, and it uses modules Licensed only to ASUS on Netgear routers. Use DD-WRT or Freshtomato, they both have there strong and weak points, I have used both.
